The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The assistance stage designed for intervention ordeals sassa status check a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to allow the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
